We know that traveling with your pet can be stressful. Our vets are experienced in preparing pets for travel within and outside of the EU.
To travel within the EU your pet will need a microchip, a valid rabies vaccination given at least 21 days prior to travel and an EU pet passport. During your appointment the vet will verify yours and your pet’s details for their pet passport, check their microchip number and administer their rabies vaccination.
In the 48 hours before you travel, most carriers will require a health check and certification by your vet, we can accommodate this checkup and certification. Please don’t forget to book a vet check and tapeworm treatment in the 48 hours before your return to Ireland.
Countries outside of the EU have specific import requirements for pets. Our advice is to check your destination’s department of agriculture website for their import requirements. Once you have reviewed these you can send us the documents you need us to complete prior to travel so that we can book the appropriate appointments and blood tests.
